New Practice Opens in Vacaville Parking Lot: Plenty of Seating for New Patients, Shoppers, Homeless

Now it may just be me (it’s not), but there’s a something a funny about a these a California doctor offices. What you ask? Well, they are boxes…that would be the issue. In Ohio, a practice of doctors or even just one doctor–of any kind–would have at least a full office to themselves. It may have been in a strip or less-than-premium location, but an office none the less. Here, everywhere I have gone (save for the hospital) has been ridiculously small. I went to the chiropractor who gave a whole new meaning to being in the closet. In fact, it was very weird. I went in and I had to push this button that rang his cell. It was like a medicinal bordello. Then I went to a shrink who was one of three hiding in the attic of a house whose downstairs was an eye doctor. I felt like a hobbit or smurf. As I said, the only time I didn’t feel like that was when I was at the actual doctor in the UC Davis hospital. That’s kind of ironic because my doctor there was a hobbit. Hahaha, that’s so mean, and I’m totally kidding. I just couldn’t pass it up.

I gather that rent facility rent here is TRES CHER, and that is why they band together and inhabit small woodland structures to treat patients. It’s not that it’s bad; it’s just hella different.

Relevant sidebar: I wish more doctors took debit flex cards here. I signed up for FSA out here, and I have to say it’s the best thing ever. Since I always spend a million dollars on medical expenditures, what better way to do it than not out of pocket? True I get money taken out of my check, but it’s pre-tax fo sho, so it’s like getting 25% off everything I use it on…right? BONUS! Also, it doesn’t screw up my budget plans. I think I will put more into next year though because I only did $500 this year, and I will use it in one fagasecond.

I have no clue what FSAs are because I’m a bajillion years older than you, yet somehow still more childish. How does THAT work?! You are old and adultish and go to a chiropractor. I can’t compete with that.

    ps) Nice blog. 🙂

I am alternately laughing hysterically and slapping myself in the face for laughing.

oh, and although i appreciate the white background, now the font is too small. you have to realize that your audience includes a band of aging and infirm siblings. Adjust accordingly.
